DJ Gizmo, an international Dj with 25 years of experience, played at world’s biggest raves with The Dreamteam. Party’s all around the world, from Australia till the USA. He became the ‘Best International DJ 1995’ in Switzerland!

The name of Dj Gizmo can’t be said without the success of the ‘gabber’house in the 90’s. He has played at Rave the City and was the face of The Hague at The Dreamteam. Meanwhile he has changed his course, but he has always stayed loyal to the dance music. Now he plays Early Rave, Old Skool, Hardcore and Hardstyle… The last release of his hardstyle CD Harder Mach 9 was the last CD of the Harder Mach Series, a good selling CD-series at the time.

To start at the beginning… Ferry Salee (Dj Gizmo) is born the 3rd of June 1965 in The Hague. When he was 12 years old he started a drive-in show, with which he played Disco, Soul & Funk at parties from hockey- or soccer societies. This resulted in a job at the Rollerdisco in Scheveningen in 1982. He never finished college; he was too busy turning the tables!

In 1988 Ferry joined a mix contest at a Dutch TV channel. There he became 4th behind Jean who became 3rd, Michel de Heij (2nd) and Erick E (1st). In that period he played at a lot of parties. In 1989 he started to play House and performed at a lot of parties outside Holland, like BCM on Mallorca together with Carl Cox and on Ibiza. In Holland he often played at the Bios in Amsterdam together with Alex van Oosterom and at the Bluetiek Inn in Rotterdam together with Paul Elstak and Peter Slaghuis. 

Round about 1992 there came a new music style, called ‘gabber’ and from then on it went fast with the career of Dj Gizmo. He turned the tables with The Dark Raver,  Dj Rob and Paul Elstak at Parkzicht in Rotterdam weekly. Then the Rave the City parties came and not much later he was a member of The Dreamteam together with Buzz Fuzz, Dano and The Prophet! This famous Dj team has had gigs all over the world. In Holland Dj Gizmo performed solo as well as with The Dreamteam at parties like Mysteryland, Hellraiser, Thunderdome and Megarave, Defcon1, Decibel Outdoor, Nightmare, Raving Nightmare, Fantasy Island, Cape Fear & Ground Zero and so on…

In 2002 he started a new Hardhouse/Hardstyle compilation called:
DJ GIZMO - HARDER MACH
the series from Harder Mach 1 until Harder Mach 9 with Sony.

He was one of the first started with this “new” style at that time.
He released a few hardstyle hits with Showtek, Vodka Brothers, Norman etc…

Thanks to his broad interest as well as his experience of years he can play different music styles. He can perform with Disco, Soul & Funk, House Music,  and off course Early Hardstyle, Hardstyle, Old Skool, Early Rave, Happy Hardcore& Mainstream Hardcore.

At the moment he presents a radio show called ‘Hardhouse Generation’ at a new location at Zoetermeer at Fresh FM with DJ Norman, Steve Sweet AKA the Darkraver, Cor The Splinter & MC JB every Wednesday with several national en international Deejays en Party Specials.
Last year in 2010 he’s released a brand new Gizmania Remix E.P on Vinyl.

On the name Ferry Salee he did also a house track called “Rock The Beat”
together with Gerard Karsdorp on Dutch Only Recordings. Was played at the Power Mix on radio 538 this year. A new track together with Gerard Karsdorp is coming up.
